Furrow CAM
Alpha · open source

2.5D CAM for CNC routers, in your browser.

Import an SVG, DXF or STL, set up profile, pocket, drill, engrave, V-carve and 3D relief operations, preview every cut, and export G-code for GRBL-compatible machines. No install, free and MIT-licensed.

From drawing to G-code

Import your design

Bring SVG and DXF drawings or STL models from Inkscape, Illustrator, Fusion, FreeCAD or any CAD tool. You design elsewhere, Furrow turns it into toolpaths.

The operations you need

Profiles inside, outside or on the line with depth passes, ramp entry and holding tabs. Pockets with offset, linear or peel clearing. Drilling, engraving and V-carving.

3D reliefs from STL

Rough an STL model level by level, then finish it with parallel passes. Stack several operations on the same model: with rest machining, each one only cuts where material is left.

Zero where you zero

Put the work origin on any of the stock's nine anchors, type a position, or pick a hole centre in the viewport with snapping.

See every cut first

Toolpaths in a 2D and 3D viewport, rapids and cuts shown apart, and a simulation of the stock after cutting.

G-code that runs

Output for GRBL, grblHAL and FluidNC, with optional custom start, end and tool-change blocks per machine.

Your tool library, machine profiles and projects are saved to your account, with undo, named versions and file export. Toolpaths are computed on your device, and the only personal data we keep is your email address.

Ready for your machine

Start from a preset for a popular hobby router, with every value taken from the maker's documentation, or set up any GRBL-compatible router in a minute.

Every line of code and every design decision is public. Use it, fork it, host it yourself.

  • → Try it on your machine and report anything that cuts wrong or is confusing.
  • → Add your router to the machine presets, with a source for every value.
  • → Read and discuss the product requirements and architecture decisions on GitHub.
